Jimblebar Pipe Spooling

Client: UGL Operations & Maintenance

Completion: June 2013

The initial work involved pipe spooling for firewater and lube-oil piping, which was later extended to include the fabrication and assembly of hydrants and pipe-supports.

APS managed to save the client some money through a change in the execution process and avoiding double-handling of spools.

SAF2507 Sulphur Melt Tank

Client: Applied Alloys

Completion: April 2013

Fabrication of a SAF2507 sulphur melt tank for the nickel mine at Murrin Murrin near Leonora, WA. This mine is run by Minara Resources.

Due to its size the tank could only be partly workshop fabricated and the roof structure had to be transported to site in two halves. The remaining fabrication as well as site erection was done in a very short timeframe.

Hope Downs 4 Pipe Spooling

Client: Leighton Ngara JV

Completion: February 2013

This contract included the design, management, fabrication and installation of a jacketed lube oil system at turbine units 5 and 6 at Muja Powerstation near Collie, WA.

The design was a new concept, which improved the performance of the turbines considerably.

Air Saturation Pressure Vessels

Client: IDE Technologies

Completion: March 2009

Fabrication and testing of four air saturation pressure vessels for Sino Iron Ore Mine at Cape Preston, WA.

The fabrication schedule was 6-8 weeks, but APS managed to complete the job (including internal corrocoating) in just over 5 weeks.
